Dennis Vinkoert, is specialised in maritime marketing and communications. He is the founder, owner, publisher and editor-in-chief emeritus of the renowned maritime publishing house Yellow & Finch Publishers based in the Netherlands, which he founded in 2005. He was also the founder and owner of the text agency ProWrite Communications.
Dennis Vinkoert studied marine engineering at the Maritime Polytechnic Academy in Vlissingen, The Netherlands, in the early seventies. After his seafaring period as marine engineer with the British Blue Funnel Line, he started an onshore career as Intelligence Officer with the Netherlands Foundation for the Coordination of Maritime Research (CMO) in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, in which period he followed an ample number of academic courses at the Delft University of Technology.
He has published a massive volume of nautical-technical articles in leading journals world wide with regard to R&D and Innovation in the international maritime industry. He has received a prestigious and honourable award from the Royal Netherlands Society of Professionals in Shipping Technology (KNVTS), for several of his contributions to professional maritime literature.
In the early eighties he became Editor-in-Chief of several professional journals in the expert field of business administration & management science, maintenance technology, drive and control technology and marine technology. Among others of the leading trade journal Holland Shipbuilding International Monthly (HSB International).
