Equinor completes sales of two non-core NCS assets

Equinor has completed the sales of two non-core discoveries on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) that were both announced in October 2018.

The first sale, of a 77.8% operated interest in the King Lear discovery to Aker BP, was for a total of USD 250 million.

The second, of non-operated interests of 42.38% in the Tommeliten Unit (PL044 TA) and 30% in PL044 to PGNiG, was for a total of USD 220 million.

Equinor is one of the world’s largest offshore operators, the largest operator on the Norwegian continental shelf and the second-largest gas exporter to Europe.

Thanks to a long lasting maritime tradition and experience dealing with harsh environments, Norway has fostered some of the greatest ocean and polar explorers in history.

Building on a heritage of adventurers, Equinor has become a world-leading explorer for oil and gas.
